Excuse me, today I am filling in an application form (MA Creative Writing) and constructing my CV to make me look brilliant (which isn’t too difficult to be fair).
It is well documented that I am a collector: action figures; especially 1/6th scale ones (well, I think I mentioned it in an earlier blog). Around about two years ago, I set up a small business through the Jobcentre and the New Enterprise Allowance scheme (NEA) selling such merchandise. They send you on a short business-focussed course; give you a small weekly allowance, which means you don’t have to sign on; and a lump sum, which is used for purchasing essentials that are required to set up the business - not for purchasing merchandise, though. I think this is a great opportunity, especially for people who have a personal skill, such as hairdressers, or fitness trainers – people who are in effect selling themselves rather than an extrinsic product that needs to be purchased from a third party, as I was doing
(to be continued… (*I am no longer a business; although still a collector)).
Anyway, just found out that this is going to be a thing, and it floats my boat #alien.
To cut a long story short:
